He's a complicated figure, so that hardly surprises. But he also rarely chose to pursue a friendship with anyone unless he deemed them worth his time.

[nuntius]

[ was it a friendship? he's not sure. ]

I shared a blood bond with him, I think he called it. For a month. It was some time back, after the...realignment.

[ if she'd heard the screams and windows shattering in the realignment rooms, that'd be him. ]

[ she remembers the reluctance at which he once used to approach such connections, knowing the consequences that would arise. ]

No. Neither of us really were, but I'm grateful he saved me. I didn't want to die.

I miss him. We sat in graves together, once. I never would have thought that to be peaceful, but he taught me many things.

He has a habit of doing that for people he wants to make the effort for.

The grave-sitting was something he didn't do often, though. It's a more vulnerable thing for those like us to initiate with someone else.
